About Us

WELCOME TO CHILDSPLACE!

Ms. Crystal is our Area Coordinator. She has her Early Childhood Education Diploma and is certified as a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator. Along with ECD, she is also trained in the Montessori method. She has a valid first aid certificate and police check, a member of SAPTA. She has also completed the Flight Framework course and has taken many PD courses. Over the last 22 years, Crystal has worked at a variety of childcare jobs such daycare, preschool and Montessori Directress. Crystal has been with Childsplace for 12 years! She is a busy mom of 2 children and divides her time between Childsplace, Little Stars (our daycare in Crestmont) and KidzClub Calgary (BAS in NE Calgary). She is passionate about working children and wants to make a difference in their lives. She is looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the parents and your wonderful children.

Ms. Sananda is a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator, she finished her Level 2 recently and working on her Level 3. She has a current police check with vulnerable sector search and First Aid & CPR. She believes that children learn best through the environment and is excited to implement Flight! Ms Sananda was our practicum student in 2023 and we hired her to be part of our team; this is her first year with Childsplace

Ms. Kayla is a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator and currently is working on her Level 2. She holds a current police check and first aid. This is her 1st year at Childsplace and she is passionate about being with the children and helping the grow. She speaks Mandarin and is looking forward to connecting with all the children and parents!

Miss Yeong is a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator. She has a current police check and first aid. She's new to the child care field and is looking forward to growing and learning and making positive relationships with the children and families.

Miss Paula is a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator. She has a valid police check along with First Aid and CPR. She brings with her experience of many years from Ontario. She is also a skating teacher at the Arbour Lake Resident's Association building. She enjoys working with the kids and has a passion to teach all ages.

Mr Keith is our driver/teacher at Childsplace. He is a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator and has his police check with vulnerable sector search and first aid. He is in charge of ensuring the children are looked after during their transition from Childsplace to school and back again at the end of their school day. He also assists with Ms Paula in the BAS program and enjoys working with children.

STAFF QUALIFICATIONS

All staff at Childsplace Learning Centre Ltd. are hired with respect to their Early Childhood Education, and their experience. An important factor of their personality is the ability to interact well with parents, other staff and the children. Flexibility is important in teaching young children, and resilience is required! It is necessary for all staff to respect and relate well to the children, and maintain a positive atmosphere and attitude. When hiring new staff, all of these factors are considered, and our dedication is to hire the best candidates to fill these requirements. All staff holds valid First Aid and CPR Certification, and all are subject to a Calgary Police Services Security Clearance.
