Registration
ADMISSION POLICY
To be admitted into the program, a child must be 3 years old by the end of February of the school year to enter the Preschool Programs. To meet child to staff ratios as outlined in the Childcare Licensing Act we will only have 4 spots available in each class for those children who will be turning three between September 1st, 2010 and February 28th, 2011.
In the event of a waiting list for a class, families will be called in order of requests received. Only those already registered in a program will be eligible to be placed on a waiting list for another class, unless all classes are full. Children already enrolled in the program, and siblings of those children have priority for registration for the next year. Pre-registration for those families will take place one week prior to registration being opened to the public.
Registration requires the payment of Registration Fee, one month's fee deposit (applied to June at the end of the school year), and post dated cheques, Visa or MasterCard arrangements for the remaining months, completed and signed registration form. Registration and deposit fees are NON REFUNDABLE.
FEES AND PAYMENT PROCEDURE
Registration will NOT be completed until these items are submitted:
- $70 Registration Fee
- One Months Fee Deposit (Applied to June Fee)
- Post-Dated cheques from Sept 1st to May 1st or automatic VISA or MasterCard payments
- Completed and signed Registration Form
Fees for the programs are as follows:
| Preschool 1 & 2 Programs | 2 days/week | $160.00 per month |
| 3 & 4 Year Old Mixed Programs | 2 days/week | $160.00 per month |
| Junior Kindergarten Programs | 3 days/week | $200.00 per month |
REGISTRATION FEE IS $70.00 PER FAMILY – Regardless of how many children you enrol. The Registration Fee and Deposit Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
THERE WILL BE A $40.00 SERVICE CHARGE ON ALL RETURNED CHEQUES OR CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS.
LATE FEES OF $5.00 FOR EVERY FIVE MINUTES LATE MAY BE CHARGED AT OUR DISCRETION.
Program Costs are calculated on a "per school year basis", and then divided by the 10 months in the school year. Although some months are longer than others, or holidays fall within the month, there is no prorating of fees. Fees are calculated by the cost to run the program per child for the full school year.
GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE
For children who receive government funding for P.U.F. assistance and who will attend class with an assistant there is one space per class in our preschool. Please make us aware of your child's needs at registration time as there are only a small number of spaces available for the 2010/2011 school term. Current students will have first opportunity on these spaces. We limit spaces so that we can provide a high quality of special need care for those children that require this specialized service.
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAM
We assume that parents have put in time and consideration in choosing Childsplace Learning Centres Ltd. for their child's preschool education, and we strive to make the child's experience a positive one. Withdrawals will only be considered in cases where children are not coping well in the program, or where Childsplace staff recommends other placement for the child. If the parents decide to withdraw the child from the program there has to be a written notice at least 15 days prior so that future payments are not withdrawn. Refunds for deposit fees will only be given under these exceptional circumstances, and parents agree that if they withdraw their child during the school year, they forfeit the deposit fees. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.
